Drop Everything… You’ll Know Yourself

You can be free… completely, undeniably free… but only if you’re willing to drop everything.

I don’t mean your job, your responsibilities, or your relationships. I mean your mind. Every thought. Every belief. Every expectation you’ve built about who you are, what your life is supposed to mean, what other people think of you. Drop it all. Let it fall away like dead weight… and you’ll see the truth.

You are not your body. You are not your brain. Your brain is just a tool for practical matters… pay the bill on time, go to the grocery store, don’t walk into traffic… that’s it. Anything beyond that—your identity, your fears, your past, your so-called purpose—it’s all a story. A story you’ve been told or a story you’ve repeated to yourself so many times that you mistake it for truth.

If you think this sounds extreme, ask yourself… what’s left if you stop identifying with all of it? What happens when you sit alone, in silence, and let every thought come and go without grabbing onto it? Without reacting… without chasing… without believing?

You’re left with you. The real you. Not the version that was shaped by fear, by guilt, by society, by religion. And once you see yourself… once you know yourself… you’d rather walk on gold than kill for it.

The Church Wants You Dependent

This is where I see the church as the antithesis to truth. Not because I hold judgment, but because I see it clearly. The church doesn’t teach you how to know yourself… it teaches you how to avoid yourself. It fills you with shallow, recycled messages designed to keep you dependent… on pastors, on rules, on a system that profits from your fear of thinking for yourself.

Why would I ever let another man tell me how to lead my family? He doesn’t know my story. He doesn’t know my heart. But somehow, he gets paid well to stand on a stage and tell people how to live… it’s bizarre when you really step back and look at it.

And yet, people cling to it. Not because it frees them… but because it gives them something to hide behind. It gives them an excuse not to face the silence. Not to question everything. Not to drop the weight they’ve carried for so long because they’re afraid of who they’d be without it.

The Present Is All You Have

Here’s the only reality… the present moment. That’s it. Not the past, not the future… just this split second of now. If you can sit in that, without needing to add meaning or expectation, you will be free.

Nobody can tear you down if you refuse to hold onto the things they use to control you. No opinion, no insult, no label can touch you if you’re not clinging to an idea of yourself that can be hurt.

So drop it… all of it… and watch what happens.
